Our football program has four levels of interscholastic competition serving over 165 athletes. We have teams at the Varsity, Junior Varsity, Freshman, and Middle School (Modified Grades 7& 8) levels. In 2013 we will mark the 116th season of White Plains High School Football competition. Our program has produced many outstanding teams, players, coaches and mangers in that time, but more importantly many outstanding citizens. We are proud of the accomplishments of our football graduates as we continue to emphasize academics, character, and citizenship in our players.

History

1947

I saw White Plains rally from 0-12 at the half and come back to beat a very good Alliance, Ohio team on Thanksgiving Day, 1947. That was a great White Plains team coached by Len Watters and Glenn Loucks. That was a game to remember. Many Tigers from that team went on to play college football: Tom Hanlon, Bill Maletsky, Frank Navarro,. Dick Nolan and George Grune.
